NORTHCOTE ROAD · SINCE 1946
Our Story
The Flower Stand Battersea is a third-generation London florist with roots stretching back to 1946, when Tommy Shaw began selling flowers in London. His son, David Shaw Snr, continued the family tradition, and today the business is run by the third generation, David Shaw Jnr, carrying forward nearly eighty years of knowledge, instinct and experience with flowers.
For nearly three decades, The Flower Stand Battersea has been part of the Northcote Road community, serving Battersea, Clapham and the surrounding areas of South West London. Over the years we have become part of the lives of generations of local families, creating flowers for their homes, birthdays, parties, weddings, anniversaries and some of life’s most important occasions.
Many of the children we once knew growing up locally now return to us as adults, ordering flowers for homes and families of their own. It is that sense of continuity that makes The Flower Stand Battersea so special. David Shaw Jnr now has four daughters, and perhaps one day another generation of the Shaw family will continue the story.
From our home on Northcote Road, we create beautiful, bespoke flowers with an emphasis on quality, seasonality and individuality. Our work ranges from luxury bouquets and same-day flower delivery in London to bespoke flowers for private homes, weddings, parties and events.
We provide luxury flower delivery across London, with particular roots in Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth and South West London. Whether it is a hand-tied bouquet, flowers for a dinner at home, a large celebration or complete wedding flowers, every order is approached personally and made by experienced florists using the best flowers available that day.
After nearly eighty years, our philosophy remains remarkably simple: buy beautiful flowers, arrange them properly and look after the people who come to us.
The Flower Stand Battersea is proud to remain an independent London florist, rooted in Northcote Road and the local community while delivering flowers throughout London.
