OCTOBER 2026 · NORTHCOTE ROAD
October Notes:
A Little Corner of London

There is something about Northcote Road that still feels increasingly rare in London.
For nearly three decades, The Flower Stand Battersea has been part of the everyday rhythm of this corner of South West London. Northcote Road has always felt a little like a traditional market square: people walking to the shops, stopping for coffee, collecting something for dinner, buying flowers and, just as importantly, stopping to have a conversation.
We know many of our customers by name. We have watched families grow up around us, provided flowers for their homes, birthdays, weddings and celebrations, and then years later found ourselves making bouquets for the next generation.
That familiarity matters.
In a world where so much shopping has become anonymous, fast and online, there is still something special about buying flowers from somebody who knows you, knows the neighbourhood and understands what you like.
As a florist on Northcote Road, serving Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth, Chelsea, Mayfair and customers across London, we are enormously proud to remain part of that local community. At the same time, our flowers now travel far beyond the road itself, with luxury flower delivery across London, same-day flower delivery, bespoke bouquets, wedding flowers, private events and flowers for homes throughout the city.
But however far the flowers travel, everything still begins here.
Flowers arrive at the stand, conversations begin, somebody stops on their way home and another familiar face appears across the road. It is a small part of London life that we hope never disappears.
The Flower Stand Battersea has always been about beautiful flowers, but it has also always been about people.
And after nearly thirty years on Northcote Road, that still feels every bit as important.
